Flexible fallpipe vessel Stornes launched

Job Profile:

A strong management team will be required to lead the company into international markets.  We are interested in hearing from exceptional candidates with a strong dredging background having worked with well known contractors on an international scale. 

Our client always aims to deliver projects on time and within budget while applying international standards and systems. More impressive is the companies list of upcoming projects and expansion plans, including heavy investment in equipment and state of the art technology 

The purpose of the position is to support the technical manager in the running of the technical department for the company.  Experience with Cutter Suction Dredgers is essential.   

Job Responsibilities: 

  •    Responsible for all the main and auxiliary equipment assigned to the various projects

  •    Monitor the planned maintenance systems onboard and make sure that the required updates are carried out on time

  •    Managing and responsible for workshops assigned to the projects

  •    Prepare schedules and technical evaluation of subcontractors

  •    Monitor and follow up on the performance of the all subcontractors and company employees

  •    Liaise closely with the purchasing department in regards to queries on parts and services assigned to the project

  •    Follow up all issues raised by the local authorities and project management team
  •   Ensure that all the work is carried out accordingly
  •   Prepare mobilization / demobilization / repair periods

  •    Prepare detailed planning schedule in close cooperation with planning department, operations department

Candidate Skills:

  • BSc Mechanical engineering
  • Knowledge of mechanical works planning
  • Word, Excel and MS Project
  • Extensive knowledge of dredging and all related mechanical services/components etc
  • In depth knowledge of planning and coordination, resource planning
